owToo is pleased to announce that they are recipients of the 2020 Brandon Hall Silver Award for Best Advance in Content Authoring Technology.

The prestigious Brandon Hall Awards are widely acclaimed within the HR and Learning & Development fields for their recognition of excellence in training, learning and talent management.

The award adds to a year of success for HowToo, which has already received three major grants from the Australian government, including Accelerating Commercialisation, Innovations Connections and Boosting Female Founders Initiative. Altogether, these deliver almost AU$1 million in funding for the edtech startup company.

“We’re very proud to have bootstrapped HowToo to date with the amazing support of Federal Government grants,” says CEO and co-founder Lisa Vincent. “Winning this coveted Brandon Hall award only 9 months after our launch is testament to our world class platform with its inbuilt learning science, accessibility and ease of use.”

HowToo’s submission highlighted the software’s ability for users with no prior learning development expertise to quickly and easily create professional-standard learning courses that are both beautiful and effective. This is achieved through HowToo’s intuitive user interface, elegant visual themes and prioritisation of learning science-based designs.

A client from one of the submitted case studies shared that “What appealed was that HowToo is a rapid development authoring tool which is aimed at people with little or no eLearning design experience… that’s me! It’s simple yet allows you the opportunity to get creative. The learning blocks are all there for you to choose from without having to design them. It’s easy to amend and embellish as needed. It’s so simple and yet the finished product looks professional and polished.”

The submission also featured HowToo’s exceptional commitment to digital accessibility. HowToo has committed to achieving the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard of digital accessibility across the product to ensure that it is usable and inclusive for all creators and learners.

“We believe access to great learning is a human right and are proud HowToo gives people living with disabilities equivalent learning experiences,” says Lisa Vincent.

HowToo wishes to thank clients Campbelltown City Council, bellette and Disability Services Australia for contributing case studies that testify to HowToo’s effectiveness and ease of use in a wide range of business situations.
