HowToo is delighted to announce that we are the recipients of the 2022 Brandon Hall Gold Award for Best Advance in Content Authoring Technology.

After receiving Silver in 2020, winning a Gold award is a huge milestone moment for the team.

The prestigious Brandon Hall Awards are widely acclaimed within the HR and Learning & Development fields for their recognition of excellence in training, learning and talent management.

The award adds to yet another year of success for HowToo, who launched into the USA in early 2022 and have gone from strength to strength with the product features and ever growing list of world class customers, such as Hubspot, Arnotts and Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

“We’re very proud to be awarded a Gold award for 2022. It is a real testament to the hard word and dedication the team has put into the software to create a truely world class learning platform that is successfully distributing how organizations globally create and consume learning” says CEO and co-founder Lisa Vincent.

HowToo’s submission highlighted that companies around the world are facing an unprecedented skills shortage. Software such as HowToo is supporting businesses to close skills gaps, capture institutional knowledge and meet the needs of remote workers by allowing them to create high quality, flexible training at speed.

Traditional authoring tools have become incredibly difficult to use.  In the midst of a skills gap epidemic, this forces many businesses to look for talent with highly specialized skills just to create training. For one customer of HowToo, this may have been an insurmountable barrier to creating digital learning. When COVID-19 restricted their ability to provide this training face-to-face, Civics Academy searched for a digital solution.

“Competitors, like Articulate, were very layered and challenging based on the technical aspects and overall cost. You’d basically need a masters degree to learn how to create the course.” Caleb Morris, Civics Academy.

HowToo seeks to challenge the industries gatekeeping by providing a platform that is fast to learn, intuitive to use, and offers a forever-free pricing plan.

The submission also featured HowToo’s exceptional and ongooing commitment to digital accessibility. HowToo has committed to achieving the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard of digital accessibility and with the implementation of the industries first Accessibility Checker HowToo has made it easier for organzations to ensure they never miss alt-test or captions again.

“ We'd been using Rise as a tool for subject matter experts in the business to be able to build their own e-learnings. However, many times we found that these experts often forgot to add alt-text, captions, contrast, and other accessibility features to their courses. This caused delays and more work for our team. With HowToo's accessibility checker, those experts are held accountable to accessibility standards via built-in reminders and requirements”.   - Maggie Bertram, Hubspot.
